Poor people have debt. Poor people often have to pay high interest. Neither of these things mean he’s bad with money nor has bad habits. I was disabled for years before being able to work. I incurred a lot of debt getting back to a place to be able to work again. I pay all my credit cards and loans on time and online comfortably. If you aren’t combining assets, his debt is really not even your concern moving in together. And passing judgment on someone’s character based on their debt is frankly classist af.
