1. I don't think it's weird. When I lived in my parent's house, everyone locked the bathroom door when they were in there…there were five of us, and I had a spoiled little brother (he's ok now) who would walk right in if he could.

   To be honest, her having an issue with this seems weirder than you locking the door. Her picking the lock is kind of crazy. Or full on crazy—who picks locks like that for no reason?

   I don't know your wife, but I know plenty of women of a certain age with children, and some of them are astonishingly entitled control freaks with their families…..and friends and coworkers, LOL. It's like they took on the mother roll to mean “IN CHARGE OF EVERYTHING.” One of my favorite things to do with these women is to let them know if no uncertain terms that they cannot control me, and to move on to a target who is more of a pushover.
