What was actually said is that as a kid if he thought someone was going to throw hands he would strike first, and that if he feels either he or his wife is threatened he would try to strike first because you gain a huge advantage in a fight if you do.
If you feel like a fight is inevitable, then this is a sound strategy though in general the best option is to never get in a fight in the first place.
Again though, OP said her husband has only had two incidents in the years they’ve been together (at least 6 years) so it doesn’t sound like the husband is looking for fights or starting them at the drop of the hat.
Fair point, but given the circumstances of her life irl, i'm not so sure. Without going into too much detail, she has, in her words “0 friends irl” and all her friends are live!. Shes said multiple times that she just wants the physical feeling of someone, which makes me think she is just using me for that and doesn't want to pursue a relationship.
