Depends on why the cheating happened and how have they changed since the cheating. I have a friend that was in an abusive relationship. They felt stuck and they cheated on their abusive partner in order to gain self esteem that they were not getting at home.
They finally left the relationship and did the work of therapy and learning why they felt as if they needed external validation for their self worth. Years later they are happily married with kids.
Only reason why I know this is due to the fact we were discussing another couple where the husband was caught cheating by another friend in our group. The former cheater was the one to tell the wife and explained to us why they felt the need to.
Then there are also POS who cheat because they like the comfort of their life and like having an affair. Either way the world isn’t binary.
An 11 hour time difference makes it difficult to talk more than maybe once a week.
