Your timelines aren’t made up or stupid. Sure you’re only 22 so you don’t need to be married or having kids soon, but you do need to be planning for it and only entertaining partners who have similar goals and timelines in mind.
It is concerning if someone doesn’t want to discuss ideas for when they would move in together with you. Again you don’t have to do any of it right this second, but they need to be excited and showing that they want to make the relationship progressively more serious.
Have you talked about his ideas on marriage and a family, and where he sees you fitting into all that? And a year is plenty of time to have a pretty accurate idea of whether you see yourself doing those things with someone in the future. Don’t let anyone tell you to just keep giving a guy time without having concrete evidence that he’s going to give you what you want.
