Last year I was diagnosed with ADHD, and I realized I’ve been trying to mask my entire life. Now I’m on medication, and my social anxiety is gone. So I don’t mask anymore and I don’t care what other people think. Ironically I’m now more open and friendly than when I was trying to fit in.

This was my first thought as well. It's super normal in academia to go out for coffee and mull over research and such. Maybe the age thing makes it a little weird but it definitely happens all the time and the fact that he gave you his card makes it look more professional rather than flirty.
