This is common. We are programmed to protect our children. Your daughter is a reminder that you were with someone else before her and once you had children with her she expects that your first allegiance is to the family you are building with her. I’m sorry that you are facing this and even more sorry that your wife won’t open up in counseling. Put yourself in her shoes. Empathize.
