Communication is key of course and that sometimes means being honest with each other if your maturation is taking you in opposing directions. The reason young relationships tend to end in early adulthood is because no one is the same person at 25+ that they were at -18. There are though those rare occasions where two people grow in similar enough ways that they can make it work. So if at this point, still a few years away from having fully developed brains, your longterm goals, attitudes, morals and priorities are a match, just keep talking and covering all the important ground you'd need to to know you're still on track.
My biggest advice is to steer clear of having a serious relationship with someone who is in the military. They aren't all “bad guys” but most are just looking to mess around with girls. If you are looking for a serious relationship you should communicate that right off the bat. If they seem like they don't want one or are unsure then don't even consider them a viable option. I think you should figure out what you want in a partner and what you want for your future. I would stay away from long distance relationships especially if y'all haven't built trust with each other yet.

They’re just swingers who read the room wrong – OP declined and took off and went to laugh about it with her husband. No one should be mad lol

She certainly didn't waste any time jumping on the control bandwagon. Can't wait to see what's next after you've stopped the ex from seeing HER dog.
I reckon it's a toss-up between your friends or just the female variety. Maybe she'll go for the hobbies. Never can tell with the controlling kind.
You might want to ditch this one immediately, mate. It's probably the sound thing to do.
