You guys are young and this is a lesson she needs to learn. This isn't a you problem or a couple problem, this is a “her” problem. She needs to figure out why a relationship wasn't enough to keep her attention. She probably has fears of being alone, insecurities, doubts that you'll stick with her, self hatred, etc. That's stuff that takes being alone, in therapy, and active work until you're ready to be in a relationship. She's not ready. You don't change that overnight.

You should really understand his disability more. It sounds like you have no idea the type of person you are dealing with.
I have listened and her answer is she can’t but wants to. So I take that as no. We still have mutual interest in each other and want to make it work. However, I know I can’t force this because it’ll just ruin what’s left. I guess my question is, do I keep hope and wait/try again later on or give up? I’m willing to wait but I know that’s not exactly the healthiest thing to do. I’m so conflicted that’s why I’m on here asking for help. So based off your advice, I’ll just hope for the best
True. Being a “girl” does not mean all of us girls do that or are entitled to that. Personally, I have never felt that kind of need to rummage through a partners phone. The only time I can see justification for it from either gender is IF their partner is showing off some clear cheating warning signs to make this behavior necessary. In that case I feel personal sexual health (which can easily jeopardized by someone’s cheating) far out weighs some one else’s privacy.
Sure there’s college kids that would like a job. But you won’t be able to find just one that could watch the kid if OP is working full time. They have set schedules per semester so there’s a risk of having to find new ones three times a year. Not to mention they probably wouldn’t want to watch a sick kid and risk missing class because they got sick. Plus hoping that they don’t call in sick..er hungover. I would venture a guess college kids would be more likely to leave a peer hanging than a “full grown” adult.

She was, let me give you an example. Before we started dating, I didn't really read much into it as we were just friends. I'd just let it slide. When we started dating, I'd ignore it because I hate confrontations. I would only speak on them when I felt it went way overboard.
