You just don't know what kinda guy he is or what his motives are. You have just not known him long enough. He could be just lonely and desperate for friends and family. Could be a creep. Could be a scammer.

Safest thing to do is to cut him off. Just don't be available when he wants to come over. If he comes over unannounced and uninvited let him know that you guys find it rude and will not entertain uninvited guests.
