I don’t mean to be mean or anything. If you’re in a marriage where just calmly communicating your needs is going to cause a blowup that tells you something. Maybe a therapist could help you find the best way to bring this up without causing a blowup.

I began dating this girl (exclusive) and everything is going well. I've crushed on this girl for years and now we've been official for a month now. Fast forward to 3 days ago. Her and I were getting busy if you know what I mean. And I stupidily didn't use any protection because heat of the moment etc. I notice a day or so later I have a red skin irritation under my foreskin and no pain or itching just noticeable like a brush burn. Which we went pretty rough that day before. Well my gf comes over 2 days later and I mentioned it mostly out of concern because I've never had any kind of issues like that before. She dumps a bomb on my lap. Admits that she has genital herpes. I immediately got tested and was told everything looks fine and was given a fungal cream (mostly for the redness and possible yeast infection). Still need to get the blood test to be 100% certain (odds mostly point to not being infected, but I still worry) She also got checked out and was told she didn't have an outbreak either. Here's my main concern now: I was not informed until I brought up a concern when she was fully aware she has this. I am crushed to find out this way. I don't think I can really trust this person anymore even though every thing else between us has literally been great. Even if I did stay with her and use protection and just be extra careful there is still a chance of getting infected which I do not want either. I've discussed with a friend already and looking for more input. Thank you and sorry for the long post.
