But also look at people who have similar beliefs and lifestyles to you/your parents. If you're religious, look at your church for ways to get involved, maybe a young professionals networking thing for your career area, if you like reading or hiking look for social groups in your area, or any other hobby, etc.
I think at 21, many people are still in their senior year of college, and just not really ready to settle down. I finished graduate school a few months after turning 22 (also dual enrollment, community college, etc), and I realized I was just at a very different stage than my age peers.
