3. I’d look at it from the values point of view. For instance, in my values, if someone would have pimped my partner when they he was a minor I would want him to have the guts to cut that person out of his life and report the crime to the police.

   There are many reasons why she isn’t doing that, I don’t know them. Probably she doesn’t know them. But those reasons are tied to values, for instance the value of family ties to her dad, or her idea of only look forward and never backward. Maybe she doesn’t think she deserves any kind of justice. We really cannot know.

   I would suggest having a serious talk to at least figure out if your values align enough to have a family together. If I were you I would want her to go to therapy, because in my values I confront trauma head on and not let it bottles until it comes out in unpredictable ways.
