i've had friends who worked their way thru this and never did it again. it was the woman in this situation and the reaction didn't happen until the next morning. i have friends right now that are opening their 25 year marriage. they asked me about it and all i could say is that i liked both of them very much and as long as they were both happy with the situation i was happy for them, i just didn't want to see one of them trying to be cool when it was really hurting them inside. i've seen that too. this is some real grown up stuff. sometimes in life you inadvertently take a shit on your own face, and while you feel tainted forever you're not. it just takes a while to get it all off
Similarly all of my parents close friends were Aunt and Uncle when Ali was a kid. They were too close to keep to the formality of Mr and Mrs Last name, but very much we didn’t call adults by their first name, so this was the compromise (Australia, in the 80s, for reference). As I got older I dropped the aunt and uncle. But then again I dropped it for my actual aunt and uncle too. It didn’t make me consider these people family, just, more than casual acquaintances.
This relationship is doomed. 5 months, and you don't even kiss each other, even for a first relationship this is extreme.

Her son was not a planned pregnancy. Before giving birth to him she had a lot of doubts. She didn't think it would feel right to have another after having a medically complicated child. But it ended up being really great for her and she loves seeing him interact with his older brother, even if it is different.
Well. I don't think there is much to do about sleeping with other people qhen you guys weren't exclusive. But you both feel bad about it because even if you weren't exclusive, you did have a bond forming, I get that, but y either of you should feel bad about it.
With that out of the way, what ticks me off is the lack of honesty. The truth is something that shouldn't be avoided, if honesty is not a core values then things get very shady real fast.
Ask yourself if you feel like you can trust her now, if the answer is yes, she has redeemed herself and you should try to move on, if the answer is no then you know what to do.
