  1. unless she's asking you to do things that make you uncomfortable, then what's in the past is in the past.

  2. I agree with you but it sucks having to be the shoulder to cry on and giving the same advice every single time for it to keep happening over and over again if you don’t want to be judged don’t take your problems you caused to other people

  3. By breaking up with her, and telling her you want to remain friends after a couple weeks apart to process.

  4. It wasn‘t like… one mistake. She kept doing it over and over and gave no fucks about you when she cheated. That should tell you what you have to know.

  5. Yep. She's trauma bonded and she'll have to figure it out the hot way. Or on the chance he did change, then they'll stay together.

  6. Well I do. That’s why I posted asking if it’s worth it to possibly change his life because he is truly unaware of his social shortcomings

  7. Insist you run back into a fire? Punch your teeth in? These are both highly abusive comments. I couldn't come back from that. You're worth more than violent words being thrown around at you. What an example he is to your children. 🙁

  8. She sounds like a law enforcement child that has completely normalized the abuse she suffered and is ready to pass it on to the next generation.

Her plan of “scaring the kid straight” and subjugating them through fear and oppression will just lead to the kid hating you and going no contact as soon as they can afford to, and telling stories about their abusive upbringing for the rest of their lives.
