It seems like you're not so mad at him having solo time as much as kicking you out of the room to do it. Honestly just sounds like you guys need to learn to communicate without getting accusatory or heated so that you can easily navigate scenarios like this one.
He doesn't know what's going through your head and you don't know what's going through his. You can somewhat change that, let him know that you didn't like being removed from the room, why, and what you'd prefer in the future. Hopefully you can either come to an agreeable conclusion or at least a good middle ground.
Personally I would be getting DNA tests on all the kids and sending the evidence to the APs spouse

So if you have to walk through hell do you want your partner standing by your side or maybe stopping by when it works for them.
Some people can have very successful relationships like this but in my mind if your partner isn't #1 why have a partner. Turns the partner into a secure booty call and emotional trash can.
