I don't think it's going to burn that many. Her mother doesn't know about any of this and even if people figured out that her daughter had been the “other woman”, anyone who would take things out on the mum in just daft. These adult women have got to take responsibility for their own relationships and nothing about their problems is guaranteed (its all just speculation on their behalf).
And I think it's all excuses really; the women who's getting cheated on here is the real victim, and whilst at worst the mums only have to face an awkward falling out at work, at this rate if nobody speaks the truth then this poor woman is going to sign a contract with a cheating bastard for life (which I think is far worse).
I think the mistress OP here is just trying to continue justifying covering her own back and family instead of doing something to help save the one true victim in all of this story.

By the sounds of it, I believe OP was abused during their childhood. Hence, the resentment.

It matters because she’s definitely going around telling everyone I broke up with her making me look to be the bad guy, I’ve been no contact for 4 days but she has been telling people that and I found out.
He's an alcoholic and guess what? He won't change until he accepts that he has a problem for starters and then he has to care enough about the problem to want to quit for himself. No babies or marriages will make him quit. I was married to an alcoholic so I've been there done that. Trust me get out now. It will only get worse. My guess is that his dad is/was an alcoholic as well or maybe his mom or maybe both. Addicts are very manipulative. Of course he will tell you he will change. And he will, just long enough to lull you into a sense of security and then he will go back to his old drunk self. Staying sober for a few days or even weeks isn't that naked. If he wants to quit he will need professional help.
Take my advice and run. You've been with each other for only 5 months and he's already shown you his true colors. My ex was a good person “deep down inside” but it doesn't matter when they're drunk all of the time. Get out so your baby will be safe and ask for supervised vivist and/or soberlink before and after visits. Because no defenseless baby should be at the mercy of a drunk. It's one reason why I stayed as long as I did. I couldn't trust him with my kid and she wasn't old enough to fend for herself and protect herself.
