I'm a loud snorer. Is he overweight? Sleep apnea? I have those. Also i snore heavily when i'm drunk. Also it gets bad when you sleep on your back. What to do: 1) sleep on your stomach/side 2) If overweight, lose weight 3) if you have big overbite, see orthodontist (it also causes lower jaw to fall on the throat 4) If you have sleep apnea, there are some methods for that as well, like CPAP
Just careful tho, i have self diagnosed sleep apnea, i can't go to the doctor because in my country, if i'm diagnosed with sleep apnea, i lose my driver's license so i can never actually get help for it from the doctors.
