1. Massive respect to you for doing the very important work you're doing… but let's not normalise this level of workload.

   I can't even imagine doing a 12 hour shift, let alone a 24-36 hour shift. Hell, I struggle to stay awake for much more than 14-16 hours in one stretch, let alone actually working flat out during that time.

   I know healthcare professionals are massively overworked, but if they're working 24+ hour shifts, they must surely be so tired, and that can't be good for patient outcomes.

4. The guard will not pay for a home. The best you could get in that realm is a VA loan, which doesn't require PMI. But the VA isn't always the best way to go, depends on the market.

   If he activated you may be eligible for some base housing or BAQ but they aren't paying any part of a home for you.
