Ironically enough, I actually had to explain this to my GF a while back.
She's a massive social butterfly, huge amount of friends.
I trust her and fully approve her friendship with male friends.
But there was one time where she was venting to me about a lack of effort in friendship from a male friend.
She then proceeded to say (about me), how she finds it strange that I can go a month without talking to my bestfriend and act like nothing is wrong.
Yeah…. because guys, we just don't care about that crap.
I could go a month without talking to my best friend, hop on a call and shoot the shit for a couple of hours and have a great time. We could go months without seeing each-other, and when we hang out, be absolutely unbothered by it.
If you want a full throttle expectation with your female friends, have at it. But when you're dealing with guys… You have to drop some of that expectations. We legit do not care about any of that. We're friends. We will hang out when we hang out, talk when we talk.
