THIS IS BEYOND INSANE. I get mad at my husband when he tells our daughter to keep a secret from mommy about having m&ms at bedtime. Secrets are not okay with children. First, that is teaching them incredibly terrible future behaviour, and second, that is putting them in at worst a dangerous or compromising situation and at best modelling how to treat the women in their lives poorly. I am not so quick to jump to the affair accusations, but frankly I would personally feel violated enough from this to make it a hill I’d die on.

I know you both are young and so maybe not optimal communication – but have you considered perhaps she is attention seeking and maybe is wanting more attention from you/trying to provoke a reaction? Again, not a healthy way to approach it but I can imagine myself doing that (attention seeking) at your age instead of just being more direct…
Emotional labour.
Tell her that you are an autonomous person that can make your own decisions and decide what’s right for you. That this is what you want to do and she either needs to accept it and stop putting her own guilt/issues onto you or break up with you.
She’s got validation issues so she feels unworthy of a relationship without providing physical affection so it’s going to take a lot of patience. Tell her to stop worrying about you and only worry about what she wants.
Sorry this is going to sound harsh, this is how I would talk to a best friend. Dude you are her plan B. She disrespected you by dating another dude while “needing time”. Stop giving this emotional vampire your energy and just move on. Grow a spine. Cut her out of your life entirely or you deserve the damage she is gonna do.
