Whats the point of traveling 2 hours away for one day to then leave? That seems like alot of wasted time for travel to me. Gonna be honest to you he is probably not gonna ever understand the need for space away, i can relate to him as i dont understand it either, if time together is already limited due to distance then taking more time away from eachother doesnt make sense to me, especially if youd just lost a weekend together due to being out of state. This will continuously be an issue in your relationship, you want space to recharge away from everyone, he wants to spend all available time with you, neither is wrong but its gonna be a point of contention between you two.
