Just buy her things more in line with what she got you and if she asks about it, just say that you just assumed her gifts to you were a hint that last year you went overboard and maybe she doesn't want you two to spend that much money on each other. Funniest part is, he forgot his phone this morning. I didn’t know because I wasn’t in bed, got into an argument and I slept on the couch, but he came back a few minutes later and quickly grabbed it and left for work.
