I would not sell my house for a 1 year relationship when you've never even lived together. No way. People just barely start showing their real selves at about a year (like she's doing by trying to pressure you to bend to her will). There's no reason to do anything at this time. It's only 9 miles. Give it at least another year and re-visit the topic. Even then, rent your house out rather than sell it. You aren't going to see those rates again for a long, long time. And don't succumb to pressure to add her name to your property if that comes up.
