Talk to your therapist about the obsessive thoughts you're getting. Many people are not able to have successful relationships when getting together after they break up. I would be wary and remember the reasons why the relationship didn't work the first time.

Yeah, just keep them in the dark until it's done. It sucks, but this is a very hot thing for many parents to deal with. Buying a home means their child is never coming home. It's not logical, of course. You weren't supposed to be coming home anyway.

Just look forward to showing them your new home. They will deal with it.
