I actually think you should take a break from relationships. I think you’re confused about how to pick them and how to conduct yourself within them. I went through an abusive relationship right before I got sober in the 90s the early 90s and I stayed away from dating for a year and I went to therapy and stayed sober. And it was still really hard when I started dating because I didn’t know how to behave or how to process things.
And the fact you went directly to an older man concerns me to you have an issue where you like some sort of control. You would say you don’t, but your choices say otherwise. So you might take some time and taking a break for yourself from relationships and learning how to date casually how to treat yourself well had to have others treat you well and how to treat others will yourself.
