Safety aside, have you thought about whether or not you’re ready to raise a whole human being? Not just a baby, but are you ready to raise a PERSON? To teach them morals, how to respect others, how to do things for themselves like cook/clean/manage finances, how to support them through life’s difficult stages, support them through bullying, school, health conditions?
Do you even have a job? Or is your plan to have your parents essentially raise another kid while you take a backseat?
You also mentioned drug and alcohol problems. You can’t just go on month long benders when you are pregnant or have a child. Please take care of yourself and your own issues before you force another person to exist against their will. When you have a child, your life is no longer your own.
Plenty of people on r/regretfulparents started having kids young, and are miserable even without having drug problems or a rapist POS involved.
