  1. If you don't want your kid to be worthless, teach him to work. Chores are never a bad thing. I had a shit ton when I was young and I'm better for it.

  2. You really hit the nail on the head here! That's the exact interaction I was hoping to get by posting this. It was a healthy conversation with no blame or guilt involved, just solutions! I think that's the main goal of this sub, and Im so glad I joined and posted.

  3. We did have plans to meet but that was before the letter from his wife. Honesty, I think maybe by being away he was not entirely in touch with reality, and it was a wake up call when she finally opened up about her feelings.

Or this was his excuse not meet up with you.

Before the letter he was in touch with a lawyer.

    So he claimed.

Please see my other comments, and I also have proof of him being in touch with a lawyer.

Not trying to be hurtful but everything he claimed could have been lies for multiple reasons. There has also been plenty of cases of on-line people faking illnesses for sympathy, attention, or other reasons that may not make sense but yet they do it. For all you know his whole story about living away from wife could be fictional as well. That’s another story theme that’s happened to others in the past. In fact, the fact that low and behold this letter pops up right at the point you want to meet in person makes this even more probable.

Oh absolutely, I am aware of these people. I've known about his cancer for a long time, even before we started talking and it wasn't something he was very audible about either. I understand what you're saying though, just never had any reason to suspect he was lying.

I am sorry you went through this but now I think the healthiest thing you can do for you is get him out of your life so you can have a chance to meet someone more available.

Thank you, I appreciate it and agree with your last statement.

  4. Oh my god, so many no no’s here. He is being an asshole about wanting you to move in with him. If he just wants you there, he doesn’t need to be charging you HALF of his mortgage for it to stay his place, and strongarming you into paying half his mortgage or he’ll dump you is more than just a red flag. You should leave him. Like definitely leave him. But come on, obviously you can’t be on the deed, you have barely even been together, plus I’ve decided you’re leaving him because he’s being awful.

  5. Did even read post. Based on title alone, move on. It can’t possibly be worth it. There are clearly people in her life that are more important than you, and she doesn’t even know them personally.

  6. Let her go. What’s done is done you can’t fix it. She deserves happiness. I hope you get help for your BPD. You need therapy and possibly meds. Please do the steps to get better so you can stop hurting other women. Don’t use your disorder as an excuse for bad behavior.

  7. Also to add, money is not really a problem, she does try to push her boundaries sometimes, has all woman may do but everything gets covered me, so nothing can be said against it

  8. Omg, she should never have you in her life since you are a predator. Getting with a MINOR who is the same age as your daughter is criminal. I hope this is a troll because of not OP is a complete creep. And daughter needs to stay NC and keep the toxic dad out of it.

  9. well what your saying is not true so please if your going to make harsh comments this is not the place I am asking for advice.

u/AutoModerator should read your comment its in very poor taste

  10. My advice is – change the locks to your home. Get an STD screening. Inform your friends that you have ended the relationship but don’t feel inclined to discuss why (unless you want to of course). Inform coworkers that you’ve broken up and if he shows up to your job that you’d like him to be asked to leave so you don’t have to speak with him. Remove him off of social media and block him for the foreseeable future (if not forever). Tell you family you ended the relationship and to no continue any contact (if he has any with your family that is).

There does not need to be a confrontation. He doesn’t respect you and your relationship, he doesn’t deserve the common courtesy to have you break up with him in person.

This is devastating. He meant for you to see those videos and I know that’s likely hot to understand, he likely also didn’t cheat just these two times. He likely has been doing this for a while and it’s mind blowing he felt the need to record the affairs.

I’m so sorry this has happened to you but know in time you’ll be happy that you’re no longer with someone who shows blatant disrespect to you. Have some close friends rally around you.

  11. Its understandable that you feel that way but she needs to become somebody that you used to know. If some random strangers tiktock had them signing the song would you care? That's where you need to get your head space too. And the best way to do that is unfollow and or block her on social media. If she wants to send you a message she should have to talk to you.
